FOR FUNDERS

DIIGG Wellbeing exists for the families, caregivers, and schools who need this most. We prioritise regional schools with an ICSEA score below 1000, and the families, caregivers, parent–child pairs, and community groups who couldn’t access a program like this without support. This isn’t a general offering with a token subsidy on the side - it’s the reason the program exists in this form at all.

Who we serve, and how

We identify families, caregivers, and parent–child pairs who’d benefit from a Rites of Passage camp but can’t pay in full, working through regional schools (ICSEA under 1000), school wellbeing staff, and our own facilitator network. Every funded place receives the same camp, the same experience, and the same facilitators a paying

family gets - no distinction made on the day.

Two ways in, because a camp isn’t always the first step

For many lower socio-economic families and caregivers, a full weekend camp away isn’t a realistic starting point - work schedules, trust, and simply not knowing us yet are all real barriers. And a school can’t always get a parent or caregiver to say yes to that on day one. So alongside camp funding, we also run an in-school pathway program, building trust and readiness over 8 to 10 weeks before a family takes that next step onto an actual camp.

In-School Pathway

How a funded place happens

DIIGG identifies need through school wellbeing staff and our facilitator network, confirming each funded place against what’s available for that camp round. We’re formalising outcome reporting for funders this year, using de-identified data as part of that process.

What it costs, and what your support actually does

A fully funded place - one caregiver and one child through a complete camp - costs $1,590. That’s the real cost of delivery. A $20,000 contribution funds an entire camp, every family in it, from referral through to graduation. Your support scales directly into real families guided through a proven program, not a vague impact claim.

Where your funding goes

A funded place covers real delivery costs - venue and catering, safety and comfort equipment, program leadership, and selected facilitators, with additional facilitators contributing their time. We’re glad to share the full cost breakdown on request; nothing here is a black box

Governance

DIIGG Wellbeing is governed by a Board of Directors. Outcomes are measured using the PERMAH Profiler before and after every camp, with results reported directly to funders so impact is visible, not just claimed.
