FROM SURVIVING TO THRIVING: RITES OF PASSAGE FOR OUR YOUTH

Launching Rites of Passage programmes

DIIGG Wellbeing is officially launching its Rites of Passage (RoP) programmes across the Geelong, Bellarine, and Surf Coast regions. This expansion brings a world-class framework for youth transformation to local schools and sporting clubs, guided by the mentorship of global pioneer Dr Arne Rubinstein.

DIIGG Wellbeing launches its regional Rites of Passage programs with 2025 Father of the Year, Dr Arne Rubinstein OAM, inviting parents, school leaders, sports clubs, community groups, funders and sponsors into a timely conversation about youth, connection and community.

As concern grows around the pressures facing young people — including disconnection, identity struggles, unhealthy online influences and a lack of strong guidance — DIIGG Wellbeing is inviting the Geelong, Bellarine & Surf Coast community to be part of a positive local response.

On Monday 11 May, DIIGG Wellbeing will host From Surviving to Thriving: Rites of Passage for Our Youth at Eastern Hub, 285A McKillop Street, East Geelong.

The event will feature a keynote and workshop from Dr Arne Rubinstein OAM, founder of the Rites of Passage Institute and mentor to the DIIGG team. Doors open 6pm, Event starts 6:30pm, Event concludes 8:30pm.

The evening marks the public launch of DIIGG Wellbeing’s regional Rites of Passage programs across Geelong, the Bellarine and Surf Coast. These programs are designed to reconnect young people to themselves, their families, trusted mentors, nature and community — helping guide healthier, more supported transitions into adulthood.

The event comes at a timely moment in the public conversation, following the release of the documentary Louis Theroux: Inside the Manosphere, which has added to growing discussion around the online influences shaping young boys and young men.

A rite of passage that strengthens young people — and the adults who guide them

Ages 12–17 is a pivotal season. Young people are forming identity, testing boundaries, and craving independence — while still needing steady guidance, belonging, and trust. DIIGG’s modern Rites of Passage supports this transition through a structured, nature-based journey that strengthens self-awareness, resilience, and relationships.

DIIGG brings years of experience delivering youth wellbeing experiences and Rites of Passage work across our community and school partnerships.

Our delivery is supported by 13+ local certified facilitators, enabling us to hold safe, well-resourced group containers and deliver with consistency, care, and depth.

Seamless program integration, tailored for success.
